Oh no!

Christmas crafting is upon us!

Like most people, the desire to craft for Christmas hit about a month ago. So let's see where we're at!

 A thick and comfy cowl.

Awesome gifts for a friend.

  • R2D2 "You R2 Cute"
  • Adventure Time - Finn lipbalm cozy
  • Lipbalm
  • Doctor Who Poetry Magnets

This is for Josh. A zombie girl modified from a Barbie.
She's going in a Shadowbox that's been decorated appropriately.

ATC-ing my Life Away

I've been addicted to ATCs for almost a year now, do you believe it? I've done some awesome, and not-so-awesome ones, and have received like in return. Mostly it's been fun.

I'll show you my cute-sy ones first, the dirty ones after.

This was for a "Sea Life" swap on swap-bot.

GIR, from Invader Zim. A Jhonen Vasquez swap that I hosted.

"Hail to the King, Baby" Bruce Campbell for a "We Love Bruce Campbell" swap on swap-bot.

Now on to the more fun ones. (Or the ones that prove I should never have friends or family near me, let alone a husband.) Almost all of these are for the same swap, typically the same person on swap-bot. The "How Dirty Are Your Letters?" swap.

Letter A is for Anal!

B is for Boner!

C is for CUNT!

D is for Douchebag! As in "Why are you such a HUGE DOUCHEBAG?" I actually made this when a "friend" kept texting me. No, we are not friends. You're a huge tool.

J is for Jizz! I actually think I didn't do too bad on this drawing. I used a picture from 4chan's /d/ thread as a reference picture.

And finally, something not swap related. I gave this to a friend.

After my bachelorette party, my cousin gave me a baggie full of penis-shaped confetti they used on the table. I was trying to think of things to do with it...

As it turns out, "it's raining men" has never been more literal...

Babies, Babies, Everywhere...

I have been gone a really, really, really long time, haven't I?  To be honest, blogspot's new look had me wary of using it for awhile. I eventually got over it and was into full Wedding-mode. (And worked on my Wedding blog for fun...)

And then I got sucked in to baby crafting.

Not for me, mind you, but Josh's friend is finally having a baby.

Here is the over-all basket.
  -TY Beanie Baby zebra
  -Pacifier leash
  -Sippy cup leash
  -Shell stitch baby blanket
  -Teething ring (Pooh Bear)
  -Baby book/scrapbook

The blanket ended up being 36x54".
It's actually the only blanket I've ever made... I'm very proud of it.

They don't know the gender yet, but I love this ribbon. It's very silky feeling. I made a loop, so you can slide the elastic through to wrap it around your stroller or high chair. The elastic will fit any baby bottle/cup.

The silver snap is from a pair of suspenders I bought Josh (that ended up being the wrong color...).
There's a mini snap at the pacifier to interchange them.

The baby book/scrapbook caused me a lot of heartache.

The link provides a word document or PDF file to just print, but I wanted something... More personal. Plus I didn't like the idea of there constantly being white rectangles on every paper.

I designed the pages myself, cut to 8.5x11, printed, and cut into 8x8s. Unfortunately, I used the wrong program, so it looked horrible. I threw those out. I changed the program, looked great, but I accidentally cut everything into 7x7s.
That got tossed as well. Finally, we have the pages below!

I finally was able to give this basket to her today. I'm very pleased with how everything came out in the end.

Ladies of TV Horror ATCs

Women of TV Horror swaps on swap-bot was pretty fabulous! Well, I think. I got a gorgeous Vampira so far.

Here's my Elvira.

Booooooobs. Forever.

I never watched anything with Vampira, but she doesn't look too bad.

Lily Munster from The Munsters.

And she was a character I enjoyed watching.

Morticia Addams, based on the original 1960's Addams Family, Carolyn Jones.

She was the best looking Morticia, in my opinion.

And here's one of my favorite ATCs for this set of swaps.

Wednesday Addams.

In the original cartoon-y style it was supposed to be.

I forgot to take pictures of the Hermes and Zoidburg from the Futurama Series Round 3... But Hermes was my favorite, I think I nailed the colors on him.

These went out Monday, Wednesday went out to Germany even! Pretty awesome. =D The other four went to the same woman.

Futurama Swap!

Cross stitch of the Futurama cast. Took forever, but I loved it.

Hypnotoad artwork.

First painting I've done in forever, but I'm not a fan of this canvas.
And plan to never use it again. Wee!

Another altered altoid tin, two ATCs.

Altoid Smalls tin says "ROMANTICORP" from one of Futurama's Valentine's Day episode...

ATCs of URL ("Mama said SPOCK YOU OUT!") and the Robot Devil (lyrics from the Opera behind him).

The inside of the Altoid Tin; bought a bag of the Valentine's Day candy (since that's what Romanticorp mainly sells)...
Terrible candies...

Saucy Journal

Then there's the other swaps I've been doing...

Here's the cover to a Saucy Journal swap.

The button is to keep it together, mostly, and I had to hot glue the whole thing back together.

And here's an excerpt from the journal; featuring an ATC I did for the specific entry.

And here's a few of the "extras" I made for the whole thing...

And I sent a bag of lube, since I'm pretty much allergic to everything I touch.

Doctor Who Swaps

So where have I been lately? Well, rather busy... But also working on crafty things!

This was for the "Doctor Is In" swap.

A cross stitch of the Tardis with the "Wibbly Wobbly, Timey Wimey" in the Doctor Who episode "Blink."

This was for another swap "Something Tiny This Way Comes" in the Geeky Swap.

Challenge was to take a Altoids Smalls tin, decorate it, and make something to go in it.

I decided to do a TARDIS.

What was inside?

Oh no!

The Angels have the phonebox!

An embroidered key chain of a Weeping Angel.

Zorro is our latest addition to our kitty family (much to the protest of two cats...).
3.5 month old Maine Coon. Freaking adorable ball of energetic love.

Now to just get George and Chaos to chill out... Chaos has taken to hiding to ignore his existence and George has taken to growling and chasing him in anger. =/ Kind of sad for a kitten that just wants to play.
And will accidentally attack George, thinking he's playing with Fred.

Now to get started on my Futurama swap things! No last minute crafting this time...

ATCs! Moar, I say, MOAR!

I made this adorable chibi/baby Nightcrawler for the Ongoing January ATC swap on Crafter for her them of "X-Men."

I've always been a huge fan of Nightcrawler.
Possible one of my ultimate favorites...

Anyway, prismacolor colored pencils, blending tool, pen, cardstock...

Same swap on Crafter with the theme "Alien Belief/Fact", so I went with a President John F. Kennedy quote of "The U.S. Air Force assures me that UFO's pose no threat to National Security." with a cute little alien in the background.

Prismacolor colored pencils, cardstock on cardstock on scrapbook paper backed by cardstock, pens...

This is for my latest swap on Swap-Bot.

He'll be going out today.

Little seahorse.

Prismacolor colored pencils, pen, blending tool, cardstock... The usual.

He's just unusually cute.

ATC Catch Ups

Mythical Creatures: Cthulhu swap

I love this adorable little Cthulhu. <3
Inspired by DeviantArt, I'm sure... But adorable, none the less.

Futurama Swap section for Leela and Nibbler.

Anime-style Leela.

Adorable sleeping Nibbler.

"Gengar used CREEPY SMILE. It was super effective!"

I think he's adorable.
I had to do a make up for the Pokemon swap in November... It got lost in the mail. Tragedy!

Everything is prismacolor pencils, blending tool, and a pen. Cardstock.
The usual.

Zombie Escape Plan Swap SPOILERS

I was so excited when I found this swap. I think I went a little bit "beyond" what was expected...

Instead of making just a "list" in Word Processor or something, I had originally designed it in Photoshop, with "paintbrush splatter" backgrounds to look like blood splatter. Unfortunately, Josh's printer HATES cardstock and had no color. So I decided to measure, cut out, and then write out the lists myself on cardstock. Then I sketched out lame blood splatter. But... I like it.
I drew out the "local" map for our escape plan to an orchard.

Instead of just listing it, I decided to make it into a flip book type... And to make sure the local map stayed together, that's included.
I had to include a full state map, full of my escape route and where I think there will be major infection areas... I was too lazy to take a picture of it open.

And the zombie ATC is the "small extra" we had to include. It says "BRAINS." in the background. It's probably one of my favorites so far!

Probably one of my favorite ATCs thus far.
(Girl was inspired from DeviantArt.)

Magic the Gathering Swap SPOILERS

I participated (as in it sends out Monday/tomorrow) in a Magic the Gathering themed swap on Craftster.

This is a purple, wire-wrapped D20 keychain.

I made a Magic the Gathering mana-inspired Ninni as well!

Angel and Merfolk tokens/ATCs.

The whole thing!

2 dice bags, an I'd Tap That screenprinted shirt (designed by me, made by Brandon), the Ninni, D20 keychain, and the tokens.

All in all, it's something I'm proud of.
